Affects of Social media

I am writing about the affects of social media on our society. Many people are so thrilled by being able to connect with people instantly, but there are still a few people who do not want to have to keep up with numerous pages, and would rather receive a phone call. What do you think let me know?
We are constantly waiting to be updated with information checking cells phones and emails at a constant rate, have we become cold to human contact.
